Amid inflation and the complication of tariffs, many companies have been raising prices — but Costco is doing the opposite. Finally, there’s some good news when it comes to grocery shopping for essentials.

On a recent earnings call, Gary Millerchip, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Costco, shared that the warehouse club had lowered prices on several items. Like never before, Costco offers more savings than your local grocery store, as it works to reroute some imports to outrun tariffs and take profit-margin hits on some common items.
“Our goal is always to be the first to lower prices where we see the opportunities to do so,” he said. With that in mind, here are a few Costco items that just got cheaper.
Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
This pantry staple is essential for your cooking collection. Kirkland Signature Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes in a 2-liter bottle and has been marked down from $24.99 to $20.99. Not only is it cold-pressed, but it’s also a great deal.

Kirkland Signature Batteries
Shopping at Costco just got a charge as Kirkland Signature Alkaline AAA and AA batteries dropped from $17.99 to $15.99. This is a good deal on an everyday item, and now it offers you an even better way to save money.
Butter and Eggs
Though prices of these staples will still vary by location, Costco has made it a part of their business model to not only avoid increasing the prices on them, but also lower them when possible. Costco selling butter and eggs at a loss provides a challenge for the company and its shareholders, but CEO Ron Vachris knows these items have a large “halo effect” on the costs of other goods that require them as ingredients.
Kirkland Signature Sauvignon Blanc
Costco is known for its affordable wine and liquor options, and its house-brand sauvignon blanc just got even more affordable. Millerchip announced that the price had been reduced from $7.49 to $6.99. This Kirkland Signature Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect white, filled with tropical fruit flavors, vibrant lemon-lime citrus notes and crisp acidity, so it’s sure to make a splash at any backyard barbecue.
Final Take To GO: Other Costco Deals To Consider
The bottom line is that Costco has always offered a wide variety of name-brand items in addition to its Kirkland Signature brand, and Millerchip announced that Costco has recently added even more major brands to its lineup — Peloton, Wrangler, Springfree Trampolines and Ruggable.
There’s good news for foodies, too. Millerchip announced that more international food items are available at the warehouse club, including Synear Pork Soup Dumplings, Sona Masoori Rice and Hot Pot Beef Sliced Chuck Rolls.
