There's a screening of Trainspotting happening at this Glasgow pub in January

A Glasgow pub is to show cult classic Trainspotting to movie lovers in January - and its free entry if you 'mind the cards'.

The screening, at basement venue The Flying Duck on Renfield Street near the Pavilion Theatre in the city centre, is being organised by Yikes on Saturday, January 11 at 7pm.

Earlier this month, Yikes hosted a Kanye West night at The Blue Arrow on Sauchiehall Street, and while showing movies such as South Korean neo-noir action thriller Oldboy, Scooby Doo! and Wes Anderson comedy-drama The Grand Budapest Hotel at the Flying Duck.

And now Yikes are turning attention to one of Scotland's greatest movies as they invite cinemagoers in Glasgow to head on down and travel back the 1990s for a few hours.

Doors open at 7pm on the night and tickets cost £4 - if you forget the cards that is!
