Is the X Factor finally running out of (young) talent? Simon Cowell's ITV show has found its oldest ever star, a 94-year-old man who is part of a band aptly called The Nostalgics, which has a lineup that includes a member that just had a pacemaker fitted. Nevertheless, the Sun reports, the 10-piece group, which wound forward the clock several generations to play Katy Perry's Firework to a crowd at Wembley Arena, have been chosen to make it through to the boot camp stage of X Factor. Producers hold fears of how they will do among mostly youngsters tearing up the living quarters at boot camp (combined age of One Direction's five stars is 98, just four years older than the Nostalgic's oldest member), but it looks to be tea and toast over vodka and kebabs.
