Newcastle's latest new bar is out to tempt customers with a range of 'wonderful' deals including free fizz and £2.99 pints of beer.
The WonderBar has just opened its doors in The Gate and this is its first weekend of business as it unveils what it says is a city first: interactive darts where players can enjoy a game while an electronic board will tot up their scores.
There will be weekly bier keller-theme entertainment too and various packages available at which is also offering a free bottle of Prosecco to those booking an after-work darts session between 4pm and 7pm from Mondays to Thursdays.
The new attractions, which also include live music, are set to appeal to students as well as hen and stag parties, but it's also hoped that bargain prices will win back former customers of Bar Beyond which the new venture replaces.
Making a return will be the original breakfast deal, with a £1.49 bacon sandwich and now an added option of refillable coffee for £1 more. Pints of beer, which include a Wonderbier, start at £2.99.
The WonderBar's menu includes an all-day offer of two hanging kebabs for £16; bockwurst German hot dogs from £4.99 and loaded fries for £5.
It also serves pub classics, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and Sunday lunch and it will launch a festive menu, of two courses for £10.95 or three for £14.95, on November 25. See www.wonderbar-newcastle.co.uk
