In a show known for it's big surprises, it's safe to say not many people expected The Voice USA 's latest on-stage announcement.
Niall Horan may only be in his first season as a judge on the talent competition but the former One Direction man has already had some big decisions to make.
As the final night of the Battle Rounds in season 23 was aired, it appeared team Niall had more up their sleeves than anyone anticipated.

The Irishman paired Jerome Godwin III against Talia Smith and the pair belted out a soulful rendition of Sam Smith's Like I Can.
It left the judge cooing over Jerome's performance, while also praising Talia's efforts.
As Niall pondered on who to send through, there was ecstasy for Jerome who eventually got the nod.
However, while Jerome progresses to the Knockout Rounds, Talia was gracious in the result before sharing exciting news of her own.
Approaching the judges in front of the onlooking crowd, Talia said: "This whole journey started with a sad story and now I'm standing here and my life has changed, so I'm just grateful.
"Thank you for the opportunity, I'm just happy to be here."
And despite it appearing to be just a message of gratitude, Talia then stunned all as she rubbed her belly and added: "I want my future baby to look onstage and be like, 'That was my mommy!'"
Fellow judge Kelly Clarkson's jaw dropped at the news as she turned to Niall and asked: "Did she just say baby?"
Niall immediately rose to his feet to give his former former team member a huge hug. "Oh my god, that's incredible!" he gushed.
After the show, Niall added: "Talia's such a lovely lady, and an amazing singer. I'm sad to see her go."
Niall had initially promised fans dramatic showdowns after he was named as one of the show's new judges, but it's safe to say he wouldn't have expected this kind of announcement in his maiden season.
