The Voice UK's Olly Murs admits huge mistake at not turning for singer

Olly Murs has admitted he and his fellow judges on The Voice UK made a huge mistake in not turning for one of the first singers to try out for the show this year, tweeting 'sack us' in response to anger from viewers.

27-year-old Sheffield labourer Adam went onto the ITV hoping to provide a better life for his daughter and three step-children.

He aimed to impress Olly, Will.I.Am, Tom Jones and new judge Meghan Trainor with original track Losing Streak and as you can see in the video above from ITV , apart from one cracked note, he put in a brilliant performance, with members of the studio audience willing the coaches to turn.

But unfortunately for Adam, none of them did, meaning he bowed out of The Voice at the Blind Auditions stage.

Watching the show back at home, former X Factor finalist and singer of number 1s like Troublemaker and Heart Skips a Beat, Olly, admitted they all made a huge mistake.

He tweeted: "Sack us!! He was sooooooo good! What a bunch of lemons."

And many people were angry with their failure to turn.

One viewer commented: "He was brilliant!! And that song was great... can he not be given a second chance!?!" and another reacted: "He would have been so good on your team!"

And a third posted: "Can't believe no-one turned for him!!"
