The View fans stunned as iconic guest is BLEEPED OUT in shocking live moment

Fans of The View were left stunned on Wednesday after a surprising foul-mouthed chat with Patti LuPone led to her being temporarily bleeped out.

The popular daytime TV show was forced to mute the Life Goes On actress momentarily as she let slip a few choice words.

The star had been asked by the panel about her thoughts on one of their discussion points for the show.

As she got her point across, Patti and Whoopi Goldberg then began chatting about therapy sessions and flying.

However, it was when Ana Navarro probed the show's guest with another question that the shocking moments had to be quickly edited.

Ana asked: "Speaking of panic, you've been very outspoken about your disdain for Donald Trump. And so, we're wondering, just out of curiosity, what was your reaction to him getting arrested?"

Patti responded: "It's not enough," which prompted a round of applause from the audience.

Sunny Hostin then asked: "The 34 counts aren't enough?"

It's then that Patti turned the air blue. "It's just not enough," she began. "I want Fani Willis, I want Jack Smith, I want anyone else who is indicting him to indict him now so I can get over my PTSD."

The audio quickly cut out as Patti placed her head in her hands. She could be seen to be still talking on screen but the audio wasn't available.

She was seen to mouth "excuse me" in apology before the sound returned.

It's far from the first time the show has had to act quickly to blank out bad language.

In January, George Lopez appeared on the show to talk about his new sitcom, Lopez vs. Lopez and chose the wrong words on air.

Discussing singer Shakira, George joked about her hips not lying.

The show's host told him: "She's on a vengeance tour with her music," which led to him responding: "I love that her hips don't lie, but they can also tell when you lie.

"Listen, if you're a Latino, a witch on a porch, is normal relationship stuff."

As he continued he said: "Somebody eating your preserves, that's some big time-," before being cut for those watching at home due to his cursing.
