The top businesses in Conwy revealed at awards ceremony

Conwy's business community was celebrated at the county’s annual awards event.

There were 14 prizes handed out at the Conwy Business Awards held at Venue Cymru in Llandudno.

It was hosted by hill farmer and TV star Gareth Wyn Jones and was supported by headline sponsors Cartrefi Conwy, and run by Conwy County Borough Council’s business support team.

The winners were:

Winner: Worldspan Plc, Abergele

The judges commented that this was an exceptional application – they have shown innovation, a good business footprint and growth and brand strategy.

New Business of the Year 2019 sponsored by Powlsons Design + Innovation Business of the Year 2019 supported by M-Sbarc Hwb Menter/ Enterprise Hub

Winner of both categories : LIMB-Art, Bylchau

LIMB-Art is a design and manufacturing company founded by Paralympic swimmer and medallist Mark and his wife Rachael based in the heart of North Wales dedicated to producing cool prosthetic leg covers.

IT/Digital Business of the Year sponsored by Computer Solutions.

Winner: Alpine Travel

Judges said the company had innovated, in terms of new products, and broadening its offer for visitors across Conwy.

Winner: Cheryl Williams, Colwyn BID

The judges commented that Cheryl had demonstrated strong leadership and has made an impact as manager of Colwyn BID.
