10) Coming Home in the Dark

92% on the 'Tomatometer'

Rotten Tomatoes describes the synopsis as: "A family's idyllic outing at an isolated coastline descends into terror when high school teacher Alan 'Hoaggie' Hoaganraad, his wife Jill, and stepsons Maika and Jordon unexpectedly come across a pair of murderous drifters -- the enigmatic psychopath Mandrake and his hulking man-child accomplice Tubs -- who thrust them into a nightmare road trip.

"At first, the family's terror seems to be born of a random encounter with two sociopaths, but as the night drags on, Hoaggie and Jill realise that this nightmare was set in motion 20 years earlier."

9) Sweetheart

93% on the 'Tomatometer'

Rotten Tomatoes describes the synopsis as: "A shipwreck survivor on an uninhabited island must fend off a malevolent force that surfaces each night."

One reviewer, added: "Not only fully delivers the conventions of genre and storytelling that audiences expect from the film's premise, but it also elevates and refines them to a sharp point."

8) Raw

93% on the 'Tomatometer'

Rotten Tomatoes describes the synopsis as: "Stringent vegetarian Justine (Garance Marillier) encounters a decadent, merciless and dangerously seductive world during her first week at veterinary school.

"Desperate to fit in, she strays from her principles and eats raw meat for the first time. The young woman soon experiences terrible and unexpected consequences as her true self begins to emerge."

7) Hush

93% on the 'Tomatometer'

Rotten Tomatoes describes the synopsis as: "A deaf woman is stalked by a killer in her home."

One reviewer, added: "An effectively straightforward exercise in suspense, one that further positions Flanagan-who also made the year's well-received Ouija prequel-as a filmmaker with a strong grasp on horror's fundamentals."

6) CAM

93% on the 'Tomatometer'

Rotten Tomatoes describes the synopsis as: "A camgirl has her principles, until a mysterious woman who looks just like her takes over her channel."

One reviewer, added: "Horror, at its best, reconstructs the formula of the genre and reflects what frightens us in a particular moment. Simply put, Cam is about the terror of getting locked out of your online accounts and losing your manufactured identity."

5) The Old Ways

95% on the 'Tomatometer'

Rotten Tomatoes describes the synopsis as: "Deep in the Veracruz jungles, Mexican American journalist Cristina Lopez is held captive by a mysterious bruja, or witch doctor who is convinced she's possessed by a demon. Ultimately her fight for survival becomes one for her soul."

One reviewer, added: "The Old Ways is a slow burn supernatural Horror tale that goes from psychological Thriller to full monster showdown. A story about passing the torch, about carrying on ancient traditions and keeping evil at bay at all costs."

4) It Follows

95% on the 'Tomatometer'

Rotten Tomatoes describes the synopsis as: "After carefree teenager Jay (Maika Monroe) sleeps with her new boyfriend, Hugh (Jake Weary), for the first time, she learns that she is the latest recipient of a fatal curse that is passed from victim to victim via sexual intercourse.

"Death, Jay learns, will creep inexorably toward her as either a friend or a stranger. Jay's friends don't believe her seemingly paranoid ravings, until they too begin to see the phantom assassins and band together to help her flee or defend herself."

3) Under the Shadow

99% on the 'Tomatometer'

2) His House

100% on the 'Tomatometer'

1) Creep II

100% on the 'Tomatometer'

Rotten Tomatoes describes the synopsis as: "A video artist quickly realizes she has made a mistake when she meets a serial killer in a cabin."
