The superb Swansea City player ratings as new signing puts in top display and striker such a threat vs West Brom

ANDY FISHER 8

Didn't have a save to make in the first-half and was typically bold on the ball. Played his part in a number of attacks that will have pleased Russell Martin and made a decent stop to deny Castro. Clean sheet.

BEN CABANGO 8

Showed so much confidence in possession and was typically solid defensively. The Welshman is really hitting fine form right now.

KYLE NAUGHTON 8

Made some timely clearances on his return to the starting XI and - aside from one hiccup in the first half - was spot on in possession. Solid showing.

RYAN MANNING 8

The Irishman made a number of important tackles on the left side of Swansea's back three and mopped up well to recover when his side put themselves under pressure. Should have had an assist for Michael Obafemi, but a fine effort nonetheless.

CYRUS CHRISTIE 8 STAR MAN

Operating on both flanks during various stages, Christie linked up well with others in attack and was well denied by Sam Johnstone with a header in the first half. Composed to net his second Swansea goal which put the icing on the cake.

FLYNN DOWNES 8

Made a number of key defensive interventions, but picked up a yellow card for a cynical attempt at a foul in the first half. Nevertheless, his work was pivotal to his side's effort while his composure in possession told once again.

MATT GRIMES 8

A huge display from the captain who was so bold in possession and played a key role in several attacks. Worked tirelessly in a defensive capacity too.

HANNES WOLF 8

An incredibly lively shift from the Austrian on his return to the side. Caused plenty of problems, particularly when on the left wing. Got the assist for Christie's late goal. A really top display.

JAMIE PATERSON 7

The 30-year-old was at the heart of his side's best attacking play and worked very hard defensively too. Subbed.

JOEL PIROE 8

Did some important defensive work given his slightly deeper role but didn't get much in the way of chances as a result. But took his goal remarkably well and was a threat late on after Olivier Ntcham was introduced.

MICHAEL OBAFEMI 7

Worked tirelessly and played his part in several attacks. Spurned a golden chance to score with a header before being substituted.

Subs

Olivier Ntcham (for Paterson) - Instant impact with a fine assist for Piroe. Made a big difference in the final third. 7

Korey Smith (for Obafemi) - Helped Swansea to see out the game. N/A.

Kyle Joseph (for Piroe) - No time to make an impact. N/A.
