The Recruit on Netflix: Everything you need to know about season two

Netflix's The Recruit arrived on the platform last week, and has already dethroned hit show Wednesday as the top TV show on Netflix US.

The show follows Noah Centineo, known for his role in the hit film series To All the Boys I've Loved Before, as CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks. It's made by showrunner Alexi Hawley, who's best known for creating other hits like Castle and The Rookie.

The first season has left fans hungry for more, so here's everything you need to know about season two of the spy thriller.

Will there be a season two of The Recruit?

Unfortunately, Netflix is yet to announce whether The Recruit has been cancelled or renewed for season two. However, the streaming site has said that it will be monitoring viewership closely over the next month or so as it weighs up the decision.

Who will be in season two of The Recruit?

It's hard to imagine the show without it's title character, so we can safely say if there is a season two of the show, Noah Centineo will be in it. He could once again be backed up by co-stars Aarti Mann (The Big Bang Theory) and Colton Dunn (Superstore) to keep the comedic edge that has fans hooked.

Spoiler alert - Max Meladze, played by Laura Haddock, was shot at the end of the first season, so it's unknown whether she will return for a possible season two. Even if Max doesn't make it, there's a chance the character and actress will come back for some flashbacks.

What will happen in The Recruit season two?

Hopefully Owen will be more prepared for whatever comes his way in season two, and it seems likely another high-stakes mission is on the cards for him. There were also some unresolved plots in season one that should be addressed in a second season of the show.
