The record that Bukayo Saka has broken by being named in Arsenal's starting lineup vs Man Utd

Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka has started his second Premier League game in a row by being named in Unai Emery's starting lineup against Manchester United tonight (Monday).

The 18-year-old forced his way into the side by impressing in the Europa League tie against Eintracht Frankfurt, where he registered two assists aswell as scoring a goal of his own in the 3-0 win over the Bundesliga club.

The teenager has since played a part in every first team game, playing the first half of the 3-2 win against Aston Villa, only being replaced because of Ainsley Maitland-Niles' red card. He also played the second half of the 5-0 victory over Championship side Aston Villa.

The winger has now broken a record by starting the game at Old Trafford, as reported by Sky Sportsm aged just 18 years and 25 days, Saka became the youngest ever player to start a a game between Arsenal and Manchester United.

The two clubs have met each other on 55 occasions, with nobody of such tender years to have taken to the pitch from the start of the game.

Starting against Manchester United takes Saka's number of first team appearances for the Gunners to eight, in which the wide player has scored one goal and provided two assists (all coming in the game against Eintracht Frankfurt.)

The 18-year-old will be hoping to add to that tally and continue to impress Arsenal fans tonight.
