The Queen joins video call and people are losing their minds about it

It's not just us mere mortals who having been logging on for video calls during lockdown, it has now been revealed that Her Majesty The Queen has now made her first foray into the world of video chats and people can't quite believe it.

Last week it was reported that an intended video chat between Queen Elizabeth II and Prime Minister Boris Johnson ended up being shelved in favour of a more traditional phone call.

But a tweet made from The Royal Family's official Twitter account on Thursday morning revealed that Her Majesty has indeed logged onto conferencing platform Cisco Webex. for a a group video call this week.

To mark Carers Week 2020, The Queen and The Princess Royal spoke to a group of carers who are supported by The Carers Trust to find out more about the challenges they face.

Screen shots of The Queen in action were shown on Thursday's This Morning, leaving hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby in shock, even though, like many people they and many viewers at home incorrectly assumed she was on Zoom rather than Cisco.

Phillip shouted: "Look at that Zoom...look at that Zoom! That's got to be the best Zoom screenshot EVER!"

Viewers at home were equally shocked, with one tweeting: "The Queen is on zoom, ICONIC!" and another posted: "Do they still have to bow/courtesy to the queen when she comes on zoom? Do the royal protocols still apply?"
