The Osbournes now - drug addiction, health issues and 'secret' siblings

The Osbournes documentary first aired twenty years ago and gave us all an insight into the lives of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, manager-wife Sharon and their children Jack and Kelly.

There was swearing, chaos, and lots of extravagance on the MTV show from the potty mouthed family, the Daily Star reports.

So what has become of them all now? Here's a look at what happened after four seasons of drama in the noughties which ended in 2005.

Ozzy Osbourne

Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy was always wild and even got kicked out of his own band in 1979 following booze and drug-fuelled incidents.

Ozzy, who was originally from Birmingham, returned to his band Black Sabbath for a short time following the series.

In 2016, he and Sharon announced they were splitting after 33 years of marriage.

Ozzy was said to have had an affair with his hairdresser, but received treatment for sex addiction, and was soon back in Sharon's arms.

The rocker and son Jack then did a show together called Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour, which ended in 2018.

And in 2020 he revealed he was suffering from a mild form of Parkinson’s disease.

Ozzy, who is now 73, cancelled his 2020 tour and has been taking it relatively easy since then.

It's now emerged that he and Sharon are due to return to the UK after spending 25 years in Los Angeles.

Sharon Osbourne

Ozzy's wife became a judge on X Factor during her time on the show, first appearing in 2004 to 2007, and again in 2013 and 2016.

She also appeared on America’s Got Talent as well as hosting her own talk show in 2003 and 2006.

Sadly, Sharon announced in 2002 that she had colorectal cancer, and had to have a double mastectomy in 2012 due to her risk of breast cancer.

She was then on US chat show The Talk on daytime CBS but was accused of racism and homophobia in 2021 when she defended Piers Morgan's comments about Meghan Markle.

Always known for her fiery red hair, she has now let it go naturally grey.

Kelly Osbourne

Kelly Osbourne has gone from angst ridden teenager to expectant mum to be since the show aired.

During the series she became a singer, releasing an album, Shut Up, in the US and Europe.

She went to No.1 in the UK with the song Changes, a duet with Ozzy.

In 2019, she resurfaced as a singer on ITV's The Masked Singer.

Addiction issues hit Kelly hard as she revealed she became dependant on opioid painkiller Vicodin aged 13 after she had her tonsils taken out.

She was also heavily fat shamed and progressed to heroin and would mix it up with amphetamines, tranquillisers, cannabis and alcohol at her worst.

Kelly relapsed in 2021 and said last year: "This past year has been the hardest year of my life. I was compliantly[sic] and utterly broken. I am still putting myself back together again."

"I relapsed, not proud of it but I'm back on track and I will be doing a podcast this week where I tell everybody about what's going on and what happened."

Kelly, now 37, was put in a padded cell during rehab at one point and said: "I never thought I’d be alive at 35-years-old. A lot of my friends didn’t make it and burying them was hard. I had survivor’s guilt for a long time. I’m almost three years sober.”

She has now revealed she's pregnant with her first child.

Jack Osbourne was just 16 in The Osbournes and also became addicted to drugs and alcohol.

After getting sober in 17, last year at the age of 36 he celebrated 18 years of sobriety.

Jack got addicted to heavy duty painkiller OxyContin, dubbed 'hippy heroin'.

He revealed to People: “It’s a part of my life. I got sober at 17 and … it’s a long time. I chose to kind of commit myself to living life sober.

"I think in this day and age when the opioid crisis is what it is — it’s the number-one killer of men under the age of 50, it’s actually lowered the life expectancy of Americans now — I think people need to be more open about, ‘Hey there is a solution to this problem. It might not be the only solution but there is one out there.’ ”

Jack wed Lisa Stelly and they had three children, Pearl Clementine, Andy Rose and Minnie Theodora, but divorced in 2019 and is now engaged to Aree Gearheart.

Aged 26, he was told he had multiple sclerosis and Sharon said: “The first thing Ozzy and I asked ourselves was, ‘What did we do wrong?’”

Louis Osbourne was never in the show but had his own media career and now in his late 40s he does his own thing.

Ozzy’s eldest son from his first marriage to Thelma Riley became a DJ in Ibiza and had his own record label with his actress wife Louise.

In 2013, they filed for bankruptcy at Birmingham County Court.

Louise told the Sunday Mercury: “We want to put it behind us and move on with our lives. I don’t really want to comment any further.”

Aimee Osbourne

Aimee, 38, also chose to shun the spotlight.

She told the Independent: “Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television?

"I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable."

Aged 16 she moved out and her sister Kelly said in a podcast in 2021: "We're just really different. She doesn't understand me and I don't understand her."
