The News Lens Featured in the Financial Times Asia-Pacific Top 500 High-Growth Companies 2022

The News Lens is an independent media company established in 2013. It received a nomination in 2014 for the best 20 startup companies in Taiwan. The News Lens has sought to develop a reputation for editorial integrity and political neutrality, encouraging diverse perspectives. Now in 2022, The News Lens is featured in the Financial Times Asia-Pacific Top 500 High-Growth Companies.

In the 4th Financial Times Asia-Pacific Top 500 High-Growth Companies Selection, the technology industry accounted for the highest number of finalists. At the same time, there were only 14 media organizations shortlisted, with The News Lens featured as the only one from Taiwan. The News Lens CEO and Co-Founder Joey Chung said, “To adhere to the core values of an independent media organization, The News Lens pays special attention to our selection of investors and partners, maintaining our credibility with the highest standards, and striking a balance between revenue and credibility. We are proud of our continued adherence to our values. At the launch of our business, we couldn’t imagine that we would be shortlisted in the Financial Times Asia-Pacific Top 500 High-Growth Companies.”

The News Lens continues to publish works of traditional written journalism, along with developing digital narratives. Most prominently, these include video programs like WorldView, The World This Week, podcasts like “Drink with Mario,” and podcast channels for various vertical media. Besides the previous editions in Taiwan, Hong Kong and International (English), The News Lens recently launched a Japan edition. “We hope to become one of the biggest media groups in Asia,” Joey Chung said.

The News Lens is affiliated with TNL Media Group. The group owns the following media brands: INSIDE, Sports Vision, Cool3c, everylittled, Becoming Aces, Agent Movie, and ohsowaw. In addition, from 2019 to 2021, the group acquired the big data market research company EK2A, digital advertising company Ad2, integrated marketing company Shih Chi Communication, and the joint venture DaEX Intelligent with AccuHit.
