The weekend is finally here, and with it comes a whole host of exciting new films and shows dropping on streaming services. But with so much on offer these days, it can be tricky to find something that really takes your fancy.

If the return of Netflix’s flagship royal drama is not your thing, then we have you covered. Whether you are in the mood for a wintery rom-com to get you in the Christmas spirit, or a gripping documentary exploring the crimes of one of America’s most prolific serial killers, there is something for everyone this November.

Here are the new films and shows available to stream on Netflix this weekend.

Lost Bullet 2

In this sequel to 2020’s French crime thriller, Lino (Alban Lenoir) and Julia (Stéfi Celma) take over and form a new narcotic unit after the death of Charras. Determined to find the murderers of his brother and his mentor, Lino continues his hunt and won’t let anyone get in his way.

Falling for Christmas

Falling for Christmas stars Lindsay Lohan as a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who suffers from amnesia after getting into a skiing accident. She finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner – played by Glee star Chord Overstreet – and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.

The film marks Lohan’s first major role in more than a decade, and the first of a multi-film deal she has signed with Netflix.

Love Never Lies: Destination Sardinia

This reality show sees couples compete for a cash prize of up to €100,000 in two spectacular villas on the island of Sardinia. Six couples ready to prove their love and sincerity are proof against everything, including eye detect, a revolutionary detector that analyses the involuntary alterations that occur in the eye when lying.

In Love Never Lies, the couples know that lies have a very high price. They won't be alone, as they will receive unexpected visitors who have already put their relationship and their sincerity in danger.

Is That Black Enough for You?!?

This documentary and deeply personal essay examines the craft and power of cinema from a perspective often overlooked: the African American contribution to films released from the landmark era of the 1970s. It is a deep dive into the impact that point of view had on movies – as well as popular culture – and serves as a love letter to film, posing questions that have never been asked, let alone answered.

Crucial artistic voices – including director Charles Burnett, Samuel L. Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Laurence Fishburne and Zendaya – offer their distinctive prism on the creators and films that dazzled and inspired. The film provides insight into the history of Black representation going back to the earliest days of cinema, and the cultural impact of witnessing unapologetic Blackness.

Capturing the Killer Nurse

Charlie Cullen was an experienced registered nurse, trusted and beloved by his colleagues at Somerset Medical Center in New Jersey. He was also one of history’s most prolific serial killers, with a body count potentially numbering in the hundreds across multiple medical facilities in Northeast USA.

Based on The Good Nurse, this new documentary reveals the twisted story behind Cullen’s hidden spree of murders. Using audio from Cullen and emotional sit-downs with those closest to the events – including whistle-blower and fellow nurse Amy Loughren, the detectives who cracked the case, and family members of the victims – the film traces how the truth was initially too shocking for anyone to comprehend, and how Cullen’s horrific actions underscore an even bigger danger still lurking in the US healthcare system.
