There's good news for kebab fans this week - as a huge new Doner restaurant is planning to serve up some free treats to customers on Thursday.
German street food brand Döner Shack is celebrating the launch of its new store in the Manchester Arndale by offering free Berlin-inspired kebabs over a four hour stint on November 25 between 11am and 3pm.
Hungry kebab fans will just have to turn up to get their hands on some free grub - but be warned it’s likely to be popular.

The new site at Halle Square will become the northern flagship for Döner Shack which opens to the public for the first time from Thursday.

Alongside döner, chicken shawarma and freshly baked artisan bread, there will also be currywurst, halloumi, falafel and vegan schnitzel all priced between £6 and £9, with a selection of milkshakes, German soft drinks and beers on the menu.
“We can’t wait to introduce the people of Manchester to an authentic taste of the Berlin döner kebap filled with quality meats, fresh salad and our delicious signature sauces” said Sanjeev, co-founder and managing director of Döner Shack.
“We feel incredibly excited to be opening in Manchester Arndale, and understand, now more than ever, that people don’t want to compromise when it comes to quality, taste and their dining experience”
Döner Shack says it is aiming to "challenge the status quo of kebabs in the UK by serving unrivalled and ethically sourced ingredients with convenience and speed".

They say their döner contains twice the amount of lean meat you’d find in a British kebab.
“We want to change people’s perceptions of the kebab and for our lean high-quality kebabs to become an everyday option for eating out," says Sanjeev.
"Whether that’s a snack while shopping, a quick grab and go during a busy lunch break or a fun evening with a group of friends.

"It’s time for a new generation of street food and we’re thrilled to be leading the way”.
Meanwhile also on Thursday, there will also be a 50 kebab giveaway at Sadler's Cat in the city which is celebrating their new residency from MorMor.
Known for colourful and flavoursome food inspired by the Levant, MorMor is serving at Sadler’s Cat offering a menu focused on kebabs, mezze and small plates from 4pm to 9pm Wednesday to Thursday, 2pm to 9pm Friday to Saturday and 12pm to 7pm on Sundays.
Operated by Manchester’s Cloudwater Brew Co, Sadler’s Cat opened in the summer at the former Pilcrow site, acting as a contemporary, community pub at the heart of the NOMA neighbourhood.

MorMor is a family-run business from brothers Hugo and Josh Monypenny. Their menu is locally sourced, freshly made, seasonal and where possible, organic.
It draws deeply upon meals with roots in Middle Eastern, North African and Mediterranean street food, all with their own contemporary twist.
Talking about the offering Hugo Monypenny, director of MorMor said: “Kebabs, street food, mezze & more. Inspired by the flavours, cuisines and colours of the Levant. Homemade, locally sourced and seasonal. Beer food to make you feel good”.
To celebrate the launch of the kitchen, Sadler’s Cat and MorMor are giving away free kebabs to the first 50 people to download a voucher from the Sadler’s Cat website, valid only on 25th November.
