The NBA season is still going on with simulated radio broadcasts

The NBA is paused indefinitely right now and we have no idea when the actual season will start up again.

But if you’re missing the NBA and are desperate for some games to be played, don’t fret. There’s still some simulated basketball going on.

No, this is not a joke. It’s not April 1st anymore. You can still (sort of) listen to your favorite teams play basketball on the internet.

MSCHF, the online stunt group that brought us the Jesus shoes (yes, you read that correctly), is simulating all of the remaining game on the NBA’s calendar this season and broadcasting them live on the internet at NBA.fm.

It’s pretty fantastic. It sounds like an actual NBA game is being played.

There’s not an actual computer simulation at work here. Instead, to make this thing work, they’re using actual broadcasters to call the game and it’s totally up to the broadcasters what the results will be. They’re basically creating their own version of NBA history with their calls.

No, it’s not an actual basketball game. But it’s still pretty entertaining! Especially when you’ve got literally nothing else to do.
