Woodleigh House

The property on Manor Road, Abbots Leigh, is on the market with a guide price of £2.8m. It is described by the estate agent as a "most impressive, detached residence of some 5400 square feet, constructed in 1996 to a particularly high and bespoke standard".

The listing states that Woodleigh House is nestled away in a private, rural setting behind automated gates, and occupies an overall plot of 0.66 of an acre. The property comes with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, together with an indoor swimming pool and sauna complex within a separate wing. It says on the listing: "With direct access through twin French doors to the south westerly facing gardens. This creates the feel of an outdoor facility in the summer months."

Elm Lane

Redland Villa - on sale with a guide price of £2.5m and £2.75m - has been described by the estate agent as one of "Redland's finest homes". It is said to be "exquisite and exceptionally elegant" and offering versatile accommodation.

Its "hidden" rear garden is described as being "rarely found in Bristol". It says: "Built at the beginning of the Victorian era, Redland Villa extended an original building on the site to become a property in the Georgian sensibility.

"With its symmetrical elevation when viewed from the back, sash windows, period stonework and plaster mouldings, it is more reminiscent of buildings found in Bath or Clifton Village."

Druid Stoke Avenue

The property on Stoke Bishop comes with eight bedrooms, two bathrooms and three reception rooms and is open to offers in excess of £2,250,000. The listing describes the property as "a wonderful family home built in the early 20th century and in the Arts and Crafts style".

It says the property has sunny orientations and is located in a highly sought after road. It has a three storey accommodation with large principal rooms and adaptable bedrooms.

It adds: "Some enhancements have been made during their tenure including partial double glazing and a modern heating system, yet plenty of the original detail remains.

"There are Herringbone oak floors, some stained and leaded windows with heraldic motifs and inglenooks within the principal rooms. The property offers scope for prospective buyers to create their own bespoke space."

Chewton Place

The five-bedroom property is on the market for £3,950,000. The listing states: "Chewton Place has a fascinating history and dates back to medieval times. Once owned by the Abbey of Keynsham, after the dissolution the estate it was sold to the prominent Popham family.

"The current building dates back to 1766, however, it is likely to have incorporated a much earlier building. In 1963, the house was purchased by Imperial Tobacco as its HQ and Training Centre.

"From 1963 until 2013 the estate was run for commercial use with extensive accommodation, conference centres and staff blocks built in the grounds and within the house.

"Today, Chewton Place retains a wealth of period features including the fine colonnade with individually carved flower capitals to the columns, plaques of wild boar and hunting dogs, a fine ceiling cornice of entwined fruit from the late 19th century, an oak staircase, impressive bay windows and an intricate tiled hall floor."
