Wrexham keeper Ben Foster has revealed Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have promised the squad a “monster” trip abroad if they win promotion.
Yesterday’s win over Yeovil Town puts the Dragons just three points away from securing the National League title and automatic promotion to League Two.
They host Boreham Wood at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday and travel to Torquay United on Saturday, April 29. One win would be enough to seal the title after an historic title battle with Notts County - the first time two teams from the same league in the top five English divisions have surpassed 100 points in the same season.
Speaking on CBS Sports show Morning Footy, Dragons keeper Foster revealed that the players were not treated with a mega celebration after the epic 3-2 win over Notts - but co-owners Reynolds and McElhenney have promised a “monster” summer trip if the team achieves promotion.
“They’ve promised us a monster one at the end of the season. If we get promoted, they’re going to take us away somewhere with a lot of flashing lights,” Foster revealed.
When the Morning Footy pundit suggested “Vegas!” Foster seemed to agree with a big smile across his face.
Foster, 40, also spoke about the ways that the Hollywood duo have changed the club since he last played for the Dragons in 2005 while on loan from Stoke City.
“When I was there in 2005, they had some owners… it’s fair to say that, the whole of Wrexham basically, they despised them," he said.

“They were trying to run the club down, basically.”
Now, Wrexham are one win away from returning to the Football League for the first time since 2008.
And Foster has been impressed with Reynolds and McElhenney’s stewardship, saying the actors have worked “so professionally” and “built everything up” in a way that should lead to sustained success.
“Just little things like the gym. When they first walked in and saw the gym, it’s a shambles,” Foster said. “It’s basically a medicine ball on the floor and that’s it.
“Now, it’s a fully-functioning professional gym. The lads are in there everyday, giving it everything they’ve got.
“The training pitches are so, so good, honestly. For a non-league team, it’s out of this world.”
Foster, who came out of retirement to re-join his old club only last month, also commented on the club’s transfer strategy.
“They’re not trying to bring the biggest names," he added. "They’re trying to bring good people on. They know that if they’ve got a team of good people who are willing to work hard…
“I think that will get you far.”
