Tottenham will be linked with a number of midfielders this summer.
Central midfield has been one of Mauricio Pochettino's problem positions in 2018/19, with injuries to Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama, Harry Winks and Dele Alli at various stages of the season causing issues.
Pochettino has been linked with moves for a number of midfield players already, despite the summer transfer window only just opening.
One of those players linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is Youri Tielemans.
Tielemans has spent the second half of this season on loan at Leicester City from Monaco and is widely expected to leave the French side this summer.
He has starred during his foxes spell, scoring thre goals and laying on four assists in just 13 appearances.
He has a number of suitors, with Leicester themselves keen to secure his services on a permanent deal.
But Tottenham legend Darren Anderton believes someone else would be better suited signing for Spurs, someone who scored against them in the Champions League this season.
Speaking to Sportingbet, Anderton said: "Tielemans had a good half season at Leicester but Tottenham should look to sign Ajax’s [Donny] van de Beek over the Belgian.
"He was excellent in both legs against Tottenham and would be a great signing for the club. He’s a different class to the other players Tottenham have been linked with and the one I think they need to sign ahead of anyone else."
