The Masked Singer fans think they know who Badger is - and it's not Ne-Yo

The best thing about watching The Masked Singer is trying to work out which star is behind the mask - and having a nose at other people's theories.

And fans of the show think they may have worked out who Badger is - after much speculation.

The ITV programme is broadcast on Saturday night and has been keeping fans guessing.

Sausage, Badger, Robin, Harlequin and Dragon are still left on the show - and we're itching to find out who they all are.

Over the weeks, there have been a number of different theories about who Badger could be, Birmingham Live reports.

Ex-Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton was tipped by bookmakers but the biker clues left many commenting it could be Carl Fogarty.

Presenter Ben Shephard and Ne-Yo have also been tipped - but there's a new theory on the block - and people are pretty convinced.

Viewers have now drawn a connection between Badger and James Blunt.

And it's all down to a clue about his "medals".

"There's more than one type of studio this badger is familiar with," the contestant said, continuing: "Just look at all my awards.."

Medals were then held up to the camera - and fans of the show pointed out James Blunt was a reconnaissance officer in the Life Guards regiment of the British Army.

One person said: “Badger is James Blunt for sure. Every clue points to him; medals and the military, motorbikes, boarding school...

"Anonymous was the intro to his album, he did Chemistry A-Level, did a ‘virtual’ concert, is a poet/songwriter, a great musician."

Another viewer said the Badger had a "similar tone" to the You're Beautiful singer.

What do you think? Is James Blunt the Badger? Let us know in the comments.
