The Mall Group Co Ltd has launched 1981 Soul & Sold, a new lifestyle destination built around the concept of "newstalgia", which combines nostalgic influences with contemporary culture.
The project is a transformation of The Mall Ramkhamhaeng.
More than a conventional shopping complex, the development brings together retailers, restaurants, artists, musicians and collectors in a shared environment designed to encourage interaction and creative exchange.
Positioned as a community-driven hub, the project caters to individuals interested in music, fashion, vintage culture and design.
The destination features a diverse range of distinctive shops and concept stores. Among its standout features is "Yaanalog", an elevator styled with analogue design elements, symbolising the integration of the spirit of the past within a modern setting.
Envisioned as a "cultural ecosystem", the development links fashion, music, technology, art and lifestyle through community.
The project has eight zones: fashion and accessories; music and media; analogue and tech nostalgia; art, craft and design; collectibles and memorabilia; lifestyle services; food and beverage; and community anchors.
Each floor offers a distinct identity, from a ground-floor supermarket and food hall to a Retro Club inspired by 1980s and 1990s culture.
Upper levels feature vintage retail and cafés, a vibrant newstalgia lifestyle zone blending classic and contemporary elements, and the 1981 Live Hall, an indoor event venue accommodating 400-500 guests.
