Can you believe it’s already been a month since Married At First Sight (MAFS) wrapped for the year? After what felt like aeons of Australia’s most drama-filled reality show taking over our screens, the on-screen drama is over and the cast have finally gained access to their social media accounts.
As you can expect from a bunch of people who went through a wild, emotional and at times challenging experiment broadcast to a good chunk of the English-speaking world, they had a lot to say. While they only logged back into their OG accounts on Monday, a bunch of 2025 MAFS cast members have had some ~things~ to say about their take on the experience.
So, here’s who has spoken out about their time on MAFS since gaining access to their social media
Sierrah Swepstone
On MAFS 2025, Sierrah Swepstone was paired with Billy Belcher. Although they had chemistry to begin with, things ended up fizzling, and Sierrah copped a lot of heat after connecting with fellow groom Adrian Araouzou.
After gaining access to her Instagram, Sierrah seemingly deleted most of the pics from the experiment posted by the network on her behalf (except for the stunning shot above!).
She changed her bio to read “too hot to be a victim” before taking to her Instagram Stories to share her perspective on the mental toll that she says the experiment had on her.
Although she only spent five weeks in the experiment, Sierrah implied that her time on the show made an impact on her that was visible physically.
In the next Story, Sierrah elaborated.
“For me to look the way I did after just five weeks, something had to have happened,” she wrote.
“Women don’t break themselves down like that. I was silenced in the media because the truth was a liability. The people who caused me harm have controlled the narrative for long enough. I will speak soon.”
In the following Story, Sierrah thanked her followers for the messages of support.
“Lovely to know that 98 per cent of you could see I wasn’t myself and your kindness means a lot,” she wrote, noting that she might do an AMA (ask me anything) on her IG Stories soon.
Awhina Rutene
Awhina Rutene is a single mum who was paired up with Adrian. They were super attracted to each other throughout the experiment, but had communication issues. At the end, despite all odds, they chose each other in final vows. However, since then, Awhina has cut off contact with Adrian.
Now, taking to social media, Awhina says she’s still recovering from the rocky road the reality show put her through.
On TikTok, Awhina joined in on the “what’s your favourite horror movie” trend, writing: “Idk MAFS season 12, where I was gaslit into thinking I was the bad guy, called trash by his family and made to feel less than by a guy who needed subtitles so people could understand him”.
Oooft.
In the comments, dozens of people were asking why she chose to stay with Adrian, and she was happy to fill in the blanks. You can check out a snippet of her replies below.
On Instagram, Awhina did an AMA on her Stories where she admitted that her confidence took a hit after the show, and she still hasn’t felt comfortable dating again, six months on.
“I had so much confidence before the show, after a long-term relationship, I was excited about dating,” she said.
“It’s been six months now and I’m still not dating as deep down I’m still recovering from the impact the show had on my confidence.”
Jamie Marinos
Jamie Marinos was partnered up with Dave Hand. Although they seemed like the strongest couple in the experiment — with Jamie saying she was falling in love — Dave admitted that his feelings didn’t grow. Now, she’s sparking rumours that she’s dating fellow groom Eliot Donovan.
The first thing Jamie did when she got her Instagram back was host an AMA on her Stories. However, she did make it clear that she was not going to answer any questions about Dave.
“I don’t want to get into the dramas or behind the scenes of the show, like we have moved past it now. And on that note as well, I know you want to know about Eliot but I’ve got nothing to tell you,” she said.
“You’re gonna have to wait and see!”
Carina Mirabile
Carina Mirabile was partnered up with Paul Antoine. They were initially a solid unit, before his behaviour turned her off. They parted ways at the final vows.
Carina has never been one to spill much tea about the experiment or break any of the production rules. Since she’s gained access to her socials, the fashion-forward star has been posting about Sydney Fashion Week, where she attended the Carla Zampatti show with her mum. Cute!
Veronica Cloherty
Veronica Cloherty was Eliot Donovan’s second chance at love in the experiment. Things fizzled pretty fast between them, and Veronica seemed to have a pretty rough go during the experiment after people accused her of getting with Dave (even though she didn’t).
She’s since posted a bunch of reels and pics, pushing the MAFS pics much lower down in her feed and replacing the images with gorgeous modelling pics, gym content or friend-filled snaps.
Eliot Donovan
Eliot Donovan kicked off his return to Instagram with an AMA. He admitted that the most common question he received was about whether he was dating Jamie and, of course, refused to tell us anything. What a tease!!!!
While many of the questions were about his general life (did you know he was in the Navy for a bit? I didn’t!!!) he did answer a very interesting question about how he felt about his portrayal on the show.
“In the beginning, I was pretty upset with how I was portrayed. I’m someone who is always using humour and making a joke, and when you take away the punchline of the joke and turn it into a serious thing, you come across really arrogant,” he answered.
“That was a kick in the guts in the beginning, but now watching it back, I’m actually fine with it. I think that the rollercoaster ride and the extreme kind of lows to highs are what made the storyline really great in that season. I kind of don’t mind that I come across as an asshole in the beginning because it makes the whole story richer because of it.”
Adrian Araouzou
Adrian shared his first Instagram Story back on socials alongside fellow MAFS groom Tony Mojanovski en route to the Carla Zampatti Fashion Week show in Sydney.
He hasn’t really said a whole lot since he’s been back online, but as one of the main villains of the season, it’ll be interesting to see if he’ll comment on his portrayal.

Rhi Disljenkovic
Rhi Dislkenjovic had one of the only happy-ever-afters from this season of MAFS with Jeff Gobbels. She got her account back while she was en route to Japan with her cousin and, like her fellow MAFS contestants, she kicked things off with an AMA on IG Stories and immediately confirmed that she was still with Jeff.
Otherwise, Rhi answered questions about her beauty regimen, and she is so stunning that I am taking notes. Meanwhile, Jeff hasn’t really updated his account at all.
What about everyone else?
I’m going to level with you here — at the time of writing, most of the other 2025 MAFS contestants either haven’t gained access to their old accounts or haven’t said anything interesting enough to warrant writing here.
The only outlier is Miss Jacqui Burfoot, who has certainly not let Channel Nine’s social media policy for MAFS contestants get in the way of her sharing her perspective online. She’s been sharing footage from her jewellery business’ account since the show was still airing.
Posting on her other account, Jacqui revealed that she accidentally missed her appointment to get her account back so she’s still locked out. Whoopsie!!!
What a whirlwind this has been! We’ll have to keep an eye on their IG accounts to see if any juicy goss will be shared in the next few days.
