The Jets’ hire of Nathaniel Hackett means everyone thinks they’re trading for Aaron Rodgers

The speculation about where Aaron Rodgers could go — or could he stay? — has already reached a fever pitch, and we’re not even in the full NFL offseason yet.

Still: The idea of Rodgers deciding he wants to leave the Green Bay Packers seems to have some legs as he decides what’s next for him. And everyone thinks one perfect spot for him to immediately contend could be the hapless, quarterback-starved New York Jets.

There were already some good reasons for Rodgers to want to go to New York (although it’s not in his control) and for the Packers to trade him there. Now? He’s got one more: His former offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett — who crashed and burned in Denver as head coach — is now the OC for Gang Green.

So everyone had the same thought:

Hmmm!
