His family paid tribute to Mr Clark, describing him as a 'larger than life character'.

In a statement released by South Wales Police on behalf of the family on Sunday, they said: "The whole family are absolutely heartbroken at the tragic loss of Michael, known to many as Clarky.

"He was a unique cheeky-chappy, larger-than-life character with a big smile and an even bigger heart. He was truly loved by everybody who knew him and will leave a gaping hole in our hearts”.

Anybody who may have witnessed the collision or have any information is urged to contact South Wales Police via 101 quoting reference *112725.
