Although the bank holiday weekend is behind us, it’s still the Easter holidays for a few more days. If you’re looking for something to keep the kids entertained, especially when the weather is a bit rubbish, then there’s one place which kids of all ages will love.
The Science and Industry Museum has a packed schedule of activities on offer throughout the holidays. For interactive fun, the Power Up exhibition is running every day.
It promises the ultimate gaming experience with more than a hundred different game consoles available to play. There’s old-school classics, including Pacman, Sonic and Mario, as well as games created right here in Manchester.

You can delve even deeper into the gaming experience with virtual reality headsets, and play against your friends and family with multiplayer options. Meanwhile music fans will enjoy Turn It Up: The power of music exhibition, where you can have the chance to make your own music in a “musical playground”.

Tickets for Turn It Up and Power Up cost £8 for adults and £6 for children and must also be booked online. But the museum is also hosting a range of free events and activities, open daily from 10am until 5pm.
Some of the activities you can do include the Actual-reality Arcade, where you can play life-sized games such as Breakout and Marble Run. While families with little ones can visit the early years play zone, specially designed for those aged 0-4.
