Possilpark might not seem like the place you'd expect to be home to the latest must-have men's fashion accessory.
One that has seen folk from across the globe scramble to get their hands on the gold dust jerseys that sell-out in no time every time a new batch is released.
But that is indeed the case, with respect to the uber-cool retro sweatshirt that forms part of the merchandise on offer for SGB Championship motorcycle speedway team Glasgow Tigers.
Based out of Ashfield Park in north Glasgow, the team, has been on the go since 1928. And thanks to the jerseys, they've been able to reach a new, worldwide audience keen to sport their red and white colours.
Speaking to Glasgow Live, Glasgow Speedway Marketing Manager Robert MacKenzie said: "We released the sweatshirts last season as a bit of a stab in the dark.
"We ordered conservatively as we didn’t know how well they would do but the reaction was incredible! The first match we put them on sale they sold out.
"We kept ordering them back in and every time we got stock they would sell out again. We had 100s of messages from all over the world of people looking to buy one online but we couldn’t keep up with demand and couldn’t get them in quick enough to be able to have some online.
"It’s a busy time for our suppliers so there was a bit of a wait for them to come back in, but we used them with the riders to try and build up a bit of hype in the mean time, and we are seeing the results of it, since they’ve been up the orders have been coming in from all over!"
The retro sweatshirts are back in stock online with limited numbers available, but you'll need to be quick if you want them for Christmas as tomorrow morning (Friday, December 20) will be the last batch of orders to post.
