We all know that Jaeger's women's clothes have had a big old shakeup - but what about the men's? We can report: it's so getting there. Its new bag range is a real sign. Four styles in supple matte leather with gold hardware and heavy stitching. From the useful laptop briefcase to the sleek weekend number, this is investment baggage if ever we saw it.

Here's a cunning transitional trouser remix from the Gap. As its "slender" prefix suggests, this is a chino that has been slimmed down and is therefore modern. The stone or khaki shades are classic Gap but it's the navy version (out Monday) that's the dark horse.

Has the fabric tote run out of fashion steam?
It totally had, but then this week, a full U-turn has occurred, thanks to the collaboration between Oonagh O'Hagen and Browns Focus. Enter totes with printed pictures of designer bags on their front and back. The Chanel is obviously our favourite (out today) complete with its ironic 'This is not a Chanel bag' slogan.
