The Crystal Palace match picked among the Premier League's top 10 ever

Crystal Palace's stunning comeback against Liverpool in the 2013/14 season has been picked as one of the top 10 Premier League matches ever.

Liverpool were caught in a tight title race with Manuel Pellegrini's Manchester City side, level on points but with a deficient goal difference.

The Reds took the lead in the first half at Selhurst Park through Joe Allen, and a deflected Daniel Sturridge shot and Luis Suarez effort put them three ahead just 10 minutes after half-time.

However, with Rodgers' side hoping to add more goals in a bid to level the table with City, they left themselves open at the back.

Damien Delaney hit a scorching long-range effort that was deflected into the top corner with a little over 10 minutes remaining.

And two minutes later, Dwight Gayle brought them within one goal, coolly slotting past Simon Mignolet.

Who's played the most Premier League minutes?

With two minutes remaining of normal time, Gayle struck again - somehow unmarked in the centre of the pitch to finish low into the corner and send the Holmesdale Ultras wild.

BBC pundits Alan Shearer and Ian Wright selected the match as one of the top 10 in Premier League history, with Palace players providing a dramatic twist in the title chase.

"Liverpool lost the title that night," Shearer said. "They were 3-0 up with just over 10 minutes to go and they blew it.

"I remember the picture of Brendan Rodgers when that third goal went in, he looked perplexed."

"It could have gone so differently but there is no excuse when you are 3-0 up away from home," former Palace striker Wright added.

"Liverpool had so much going for them offensively, they had to focus on defence because they were so open all the time.

"Palace fans were unbelievable and they helped the team through."
