
There are some things you just don’t change and one of those things is seemingly the logo for Cracker Barrel. The iconic original logo featured a man sitting on a wooden chair next to a barrel. Now, the company is rebranding.
Cracker Barrel’s new logo is just the words “Cracker Barrel” and everyone seemed annoyed by it. This is the one thing that can fix the great divide currently happening in the world: We all think the new logo is really bad and don’t understand why they would change it. But what was a join effort dogpile on the new look is now becoming something else entirely.
It has gotten so out of hand, now the rebrand is being labeled as a “woke” issue. Why? I haven’t quite figured that out. The New York Post wrote an entire article talking about the risk of “wokeness” but then didn’t really explain how Cracker Barrel’s change of logo is “woke.”
There is no rhyme or reason to what “woke” means now, apparently. As one X user pointed out “Words usually have meaning but woke apparently is just turning into: ‘anything new that I don’t like.’” How is this one on the “woke liberal mindset?” I do not remember a single one of us complaining about the logo!
Whatever the reason behind it, the rebrand is not going over well. Not because you can’t change things and make them better but rather because people just have very specific ideas of what they like and what they know and changing up how the Cracker Barrel logo looks was apparently a step too far.
If anyone out there can figure out how this is the fault of “Go woke, go broke” please let me know but in the meantime, just know that Cracker Barrel’s new logo doesn’t have any fans at all.
