The Chase's Darragh Ennis shares 'downright offensive' tweet

The Chase's Darragh Ennis shared a "downright offensive" tweet on Sunday evening and many of his followers were very appreciative.

Darragh, also known as The Menace, actually started his chaser career in the shoes of a contestant five years ago. In 2017, the 41-year-old made his debut on the ITV as a player hoping to win a cash prize.

Now he is known as one of the UK's biggest brains as he and his fellow chasers take on members of the public as part of the popular ITV quiz show.

Darragh, who often shares amusing tweets, made many fans of the show laugh on Sunday evening. Taking to Twitter, Darragh uploaded an image of the word "offensive" in the bottom right corner of a white box.

The Chaser's tweet simply said: "This is downright offensive." Many of his followers were quick to respond, having clearly enjoyed the play on words.

Carly Gillam said: "I don’t know why but I laughed so hard at this more than I should." Natasha replied: "Me too, but I blame the vodka." Wilf Hashimi said: "One of your better ones!"

Sarah said: "This is such a dad joke, but luckily for you I love a dad joke. Big fan."

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
