The Chase player makes everyone 'feel old' after not knowing beloved cartoon

The Chase's Paul Sinha said he "feels old" after a player didn't know who Popeye was.

Bradley Walsh was back today with another round of contestants ready to beat The Chaser. Dan was second to take on Paul "The Sinnman" Sinha but the start of his speed round left him and Bradley speechless.

The first question Dan was asked said: "Which sailor stared in the carton Olive Oil and water don't mix?" The answer was Popeye, a rowdy sailor that gained popularity in the 1930s for his cartoony violence and love for spinach.

Dan passed the question but it later returned as The Chaser softly scolded him for making everyone in the studio "feel very old." He said: "Not knowing who Popeye is you've made me, Bradley and everyone in the audience and home feel very old."

Viewers shared the sentiment as they couldn't believe Dan had never even heard of the sailor. One fan said: "Not knowing who Popeye is, isn't age, it's stupidity." Another added: "He doesn’t know who Popeye is!!! I’m old!"

A third viewer said: "So youngsters don't even know about Popeye these days?" A final comment added: "YOU DON'T KNOW POPEYE? GTFO!!!"

Dan failed to make it back to his team and was sent home in the head to head. The Chaser finished off the remaining two members of the team with 20 seconds to spare.
