Viewers of The Chase were left giggling after a contestant tried to compliment her teammate on Tuesday’s instalment by telling her she had "Essex knowledge".
Fans of the quiz show watched contestants Andy, Heather, Ahmed and Nichola face Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis in a bid to win their prize pot.
Yet, viewers couldn’t help but laugh on social media when Heather, an arts graduate from Cheshire, tried to praise her teammate Nichola with a bizarre compliment.
The budding screenwriter had earlier in the round managed to outrun Chaser Darragh to bag £5,000.
After losing their teammate Andy, Nichola stepped up to the plate in a bid to outsmart The Menace.

Turning to the contestants, host Bradley Walsh asked for their advice about how much Nichola should play for as their prize pot stood at £8,000.
While figuring out whether their teammate should go for -£2,000, £5,000 or £62,000, Heather came out with a rather unique remark about the business and management tutor.
Heather said: "You are a really good player, but you have that Essex knowledge that us Northern guys don't have. So yeah... we need you back."
Heather’s attempt at complimenting her glam Essex teammate didn’t go unnoticed with many viewers taking to Twitter to joke about the bizarre compliment.
One viewer posted: "Essex knowledge? I've never heard of that phenomena before!" with an awkward face emoji.
"Nicola has Essex knowledge, does she? #TheChase" another shared alongside a GIF of a Towie star Joey Essex saying "Naughty!".

A perplexed fan simply penned: "What is Essex knowledge??!!"
Despite having that "Essex knowledge", Nichola unfortunately didn't make it back to her teammates and was booted off the show after losing out on £5,000.
And the contestants’ luck appeared to run out at this point as Heather and Ahmed lost to the Irish Chaser after achieving an impressive 18 steps.

Darragh maintained his six-month-long winning streak by matching their score with 30 seconds still on the clock.
Despite winning, the Menace insisted they should be proud of their performance while host Bradley said the contestants were a "very good team".
The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
