The Chase contestants left in hysterics over Bradley Walsh's epic 'Buzz Lightyear' slip-up

The Chase contestants were left in stitches after host Bradley Walsh's epic 'Buzz Lightyear' blunder.

A new lineup of players during the latest instalment of the popular ITV show burst into fits of laughter when Bradley slipped-up when discussing a question he asked.

Bradley asked contestant Jamie during his cash-builder round: "Which astronaut did Ali G call Buzz Lightyear when interviewing him?"

Jamie correctly answered with Buzz Aldrin, the second man to ever walk on the moon, the Mirror Online reports.

It was following the cash-builder round when Bradley made the epic gaffe - which you can watch in the video above - leaving the contestants in stitches.

"Fancy calling him Buzz Lightyear," Bradley laughed.

"He's got no shame that lad, because Buzz Aldrin punched somebody after saying it was a conspiracy, that he'd never walked on the moon.

"Buzz Lightyear laid him out, one punch!"

There was a pause before contestant Mandy corrected him: "Buzz Aldrin!"

The four were left in stitches as embarrassed Bradley joked: "I meant Buzz Aldrin!

"Whatever you do, don't tell him! Please don't tell him!"

And Bradley ducked down behind his podium as he pretended to hide from the astronaut.

Fans loved the scenes as well, one joking: "Buzz Lightyear walked on the moon!"

"Didn't know Buzz Lightyear had punched someone," another laughed.

Jamie went on the beat new Chaser Darragh Ennis aka The Menace, as did Mandy and Emma.

Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be for Paul, who was caught by Darragh.

Darragh's the sixth and latest to join the crew of Chasers in the show's 12 year history, making his first appearance late last year.

He joined Shaun "The Dark Destroyer" Wallace, Anne "The Governess" Hegerty, Mark "The Beast" Labbett, Paul "The Sinnerman" Sinha and Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
