The Chase contestant has famous lookalike as similarity leaves fans speechless

A contestant on The Chase is a serious lookalike for a famous face on the same show - and everyone has been pointing out the similarities between her and a Chaser.

Kate, 24, appeared on last night's episode of the popular game show, in a bid to win some money to finish off her half-sleeve of tattoos on her leg.

The mental health worker, who also works as a beekeeper with her neighbour in her spare time, is the double of Chaser fan favourite, The Vixen.

Jenny shot to fame as a Chaser on the show - having initially worked as a researcher for the popular TV programme.

She was put forward for the elevated role on the show by Anne Hegerty, also known as the Governess or Frosty Knickers.

People flocked to Twitter to point out the similarities between Kate and some famous faces.

One Twitter user said: "Well done Kate, the power of the haircut compels you #TheChase."

Another tweet read: "Don’t listen to the folk on here, Kate. Skeletor thinks you’re great #TheChase."

And a third pointed out a different resemblance: "Kate looks like a young Olive off On the Buses #TheChase."

The contestant didn't last very long on the show, however, as the young university graduate had bagged £8,000 in the initial round.

She was then caught by the chaser, Darragh Ennis, answering just one question right in her run.

The rest of her team battled it out to beat the Chaser each time, but were caught at the end, losing their bank of £16,000 in the last 20 seconds of the show.

You can catch The Chase every weekday at 5pm on STV, or on catch-up on STV Player online.
