The Chase big change sees viewers switch off in their droves

The Chase is watched by millions of people who tune in every weeknight at 5pm, but Monday's show saw many fans turn off.

The show started as usual with host Bradley Walsh introducing the programme.

But it soon became clear it was a celebrity version of the show and also a repeat from 2017.

And viewers were less than impressed, with many annoyed to see a celeb repeat instead of the usual show.

Lots of them were quick to express their displeasure on social media as they saw the line-up of Mike Bushell, Rylan Clark, Annabel croft and Rhea Bailey, take on The Vixen, Jenny Ryan, who was the Chaser.

Lauren said: "Might have to switch over for couples come dine with me."

Victoria said: "A celeb special why?"

Cornish girl said: "I'm off a celebrity one don't like them."

bobert Mac said: "Just seen it's a 'celebrity' special. bye bye everybody."

Paul Doherty said: "Celebrity special? What the flip."

Judith Wiseman said: "Boo I hate Celebrity Specials. Back to painting the dining room."

*The Chase continues at 5pm on ITV tomorrow
