The Bodycoach Joe Wicks 'told off' after climbing on a stack of books at publishing company in Glasgow

The Bodycoach Joe Wicks got told off after he climbed on a stack of books at his publishing company in Glasgow

Joe was in the city as part of his latest book tour and stayed at the city's Blythswood hotel ahead of visiting the employees of Harper Collins.

He had enjoyed a dinner of monkfish before a fry-up breakfast at the hotel and even showed off the freestanding bath in his room.

Joe was keen to visit the warehouse where his books are kept for distribution and videoed himself inside the huge building which houses five million books.

He wrote: "Visiting the Harper Collins HQ in Glasgow today to meet and thank all of the legends involved in helping distribute my books across the UK."

The warehouse was holding 50,000 of Joe's own books and he admitted it blew his mind to have sold four million books in six years.

Joe was presented with his own high-vis vest for his trip to the warehouse and talked about his route to success as he told fans: "How mad is that. Just messing about sharing on instagram and it ended up here."

He was seen doing a gym class with some NHS workers during his trip and even tucked into some of the recipes in his book after local chef 'Ian' made them up for him.

But Joe also confessed he was told off after he climbed on top of a mountain of boxes containing books for a photo opportunity.

He wrote: "Got told off. Guilty. Too Rock N Roll Innit."

Joe said he was charmed by Glasgow but was sorry he was unable to run a 5k with some of his fans as he usually does.

He told fans ahead of his trip: "Hello to all of my Glasgow legends, 5K run crew for tomorrow.

"Look, I've got to stay, I'm still coming to Glasgow, I love it, I love the city but I have been getting a lot of DMs from people today saying that the weather is just feral up there and there is going to be a storm tomorrow.

"And I looked and it looked pretty bad, high winds and whatnot. I don't want to get a thousand people together, running along the river Clyde and people getting blown all over the gap, slipping up, breaking ankles and stuff.

"So, I am going to cancel it, unfortunately. Although I love to do it, I love getting people together, I don't want to put anyone in danger, so no 5K run tomorrow in Glasgow but I will be back later on in the year, hopefully to do it."
