The Block Contestants Expose ‘Tone-Deaf’ Message A Co-Star Sent The Cast After Finale

The-Block-Drama

It turns out the drama on The Block did not end when the gavel dropped and Britt and Taz cartwheeled off to the bank. Because according to insiders, the private cast viewing party was a full emotional demolition zone and the vibes have not recovered. Like… at all.

We’re now a week past finale night and the cast is still processing. Think: post-festival comedown but with floor plans, tears, and passive-aggressive group messages.

“There were more tears at the viewing party than what aired on TV,” one source told PEDESTRIAN.TV. Translation: chaos, crying, and someone definitely called someone else “entitled” in a hallway.

The sorest spot? Reserves and profit gaps bigger than a Daylesford hallway reveal.

Some contestants reportedly felt their reserve prices made winning basically a fantasy and certain cast members (hi Mat, love your advocacy king) apparently made it very clear they weren’t here to roll over and smile politely about it.

And then came the moment every winner dreads: the group message.

Britt and Taz apparently sent a big heartfelt note to the cast after the show aired. Except it landed like a lead-weight cheese board.

“It was meant to be thoughtful but came off tone-deaf,” one insider claimed. Another contestant allegedly described it as “a little condescending” which is honestly worse than calling someone a villain on national TV. Which makes sense given the recent news that only two couples celebrated the winning couple’s victory.

Look, winning The Block is amazing, but when you pocket six figures and others walk away with… trauma and a plaster-dust cough, maybe don’t go full ‘gratitude journal’ in the group chat.

Sources reckon the public might not warm to Britt and Taz the same way they did Steph and Gian, and the couples are now getting a taste of life without the edit protecting them.

This means we are officially in the unfiltered post The Block social era. Which can be iconic or disastrous depending on who hits “post” first.

Friendships… updated! A week later and apparently vibes are still wobbly.

“Not everyone’s come out on the same page,” one cast member shared with us. AKA: The Block group chat is now three smaller group chats and one rogue side thread where everyone sends memes about tradies and trauma.

Some contestants are reportedly relieved they don’t have to play happy family anymore, while others are still riding the “block fam 4eva” delusion.

You can renovate a house, but turns out you cannot render over feelings.
