Wales extended their unbeaten run under Ryan Giggs to eight games after victory over Bulgaria- with Liverpool full-back Neco Williams netting the late winner.
The 19-year-old was making his home debut for his country when he popped up for a last-minute winner in the Nations League clash.
And as Welsh fans welcomed a new hero, more than a few fans took to social media to express their delight with Williams.
One twitter user called him, slightly tongue in cheek, "the best Welsh full back ever", while plenty others were full of praise.
And there were a number of Liverpool fans who were excited to see one of their own making an impact on the international stage.
The player himself expressed his delight with his performance, tweeting: "WHAT A FEELING!!!
"Buzzing to have scored the winner on my home debut for my country, doing my family proud.
"Gutted the fans weren’t there to be in the moment."
The defender started the game on the bench but replaced Connor Roberts with 25 minutes left on the clock.
And he popped up at the back post to head home Jonny Williams' floated cross four minutes into added time to secure a 1-0 win over the Bulgarians.
