It's time to consign 2020 to the bin and skip to the good bit, and fortunately even board games won't be so bad this festive season as Monopoly gets the best makeover ever.
There is now a new Elf version of Monopoly, featuring characters, places and storylines from the iconic Will Ferrell Christmas movie.
Manufacturer USAopoly has released the new Elf Monopoly just in time for the 2020 festive season, reports the Mirror.
As well as fresh Elf names for the key components, Community Chest Cards have been renamed Christmas Cheer and Chance Cards are Christmas Spirit.
There are also six custom player tokens that include Santa's Sleigh, Polar Bear Cub, Jack-in-the-Box, Mailroom Coffee Mug, Santa's Bag and Maple Syrup.
Players are invited to "Buy, sell, and trade your way to Christmas Cheer and Christmas Spirit to be the last one standing in this collectible version of Monopoly".
At the moment you can only order the new Elf Monopoly on Amazon for $39.88, but it is currently out of stock. It is also being sold directly from the USAopoly website, but only within the US.
