The best value streaming services revealed

With online streaming platforms currently in high demand as the UK is under lockdown, you might be wondering which ones are worth your money.

A savings site VoucherCodes.co.uk has looked at the top rated films and TV shows and their availability on streaming services, with Netflix coming out on top.

They found that Netflix has 67 of the top 270 shows on its service, which equates to only 9p per title based on a £5.99 per month subscription.

They've used online database IMDB and film magazine Empire to group together the top rated shows and films, with Apple TV+ coming in second at 20p per title, however it is the cheapest service at £4.99 per month.

Amazon Prime Video has 26 of the 270 titles available, amounting to 23p per watch – however, many titles are available to either buy or rent digitally at an extra cost from £1.99 upwards.

NowTV’s Sky Cinema pass gives access to 55 of the top films and, despite being the most expensive service at £11.99 per month, is one of the better value for money options - costing 22p per watch.

Meanwhile new streaming service Disney+ is the best platform to watch the top kids films at 75p per title, compared to Netflix's £2.

If you're looking for a popular TV show to watch then Netflix comes out on top again at 26p per title, compared with NowTV's Entertainment Pass which is at 75p per title.
