The Anonymous Buyer Of Britt & Taz’s $3.41M The Block Home Is Renting It Out On Airbnb

The Block Britt and Taz finale

The prize-winning pad from The Block is about to score a second life as an Airbnb in the New Year. Built by WA couple Britt and Taz, the luxe four-bed, three-bath home sold for a cool $3.41 million during last month’s finale.

The sale of House Three to an anonymous buyer saw the duo pocket a tidy $520k profit, including $100k in prize money.

According to the Herald Sun, once The Block winners settle in January, the new owners plan to open the sprawling pad as a short-term rental from February.

“They will use it as an Airbnb,” The Block auctioneer Mark Nunn told the publication.

“So, from the early new year, you will be able to have a weekend up there.

“And it will be popular too, very popular on the Airbnb market.”

The publication reported that the owner hasn’t revealed what the home will list for, but similar luxe four-bedroom stays in the Daylesford area are fetching upwards of $3,000 for a weekend in February, according to Airbnb.

The buyers dropped $3.41 million on the 3 Cedar Lane, Daylesford property.

Other standout features in Britt and Taz’s House 3 include a guest suite and an open-plan dining and living area complete with a stone-clad fireplace.

During filming, Britt and Taz snagged The Block’s Best Bathroom award for their stunning space featuring travertine tiles, Grafico wallpaper, a natural stone vanity, and a freestanding tub.

The home is split into two wings, with the main bedroom sitting on the northeast side and the remaining rooms tucked on the other side of a central living hub.

The couple’s kitchen is fitted with all the fancy trimmings — think a Cosentino island benchtop, Sub-Zero fridge, Unox oven, and a Wolf cooktop topped with a Qasair rangehood.

A fully kitted-out home wellness centre — complete with Pilates gear — rounds out the luxe interior, while outside there’s no shortage of spots to entertain. A covered deck with an outdoor kitchen flows into a patio featuring a water display and a pool beyond.

There are also extra patios off the main bedroom and laundry, plus a cellar tucked among the outbuildings.

While The Block fans will soon be able to stay at the winning home, I’d venture a guess that their fellow contestants won’t be visiting the property as apparently there’s drama among the cast, after Britt and Taz sent their co-stars a “tone deaf” post-finale message.

Meanwhile, Britt and Taz recently revealed that only two teams congratulated them after their win. Awwwwwkward.
