The 5-star DJI Mavic 4 Pro is finally available to buy in the U.S. — but not through DJI

A dark grey DJI Mavic 4 Pro drone.

It has been just over three months since the DJI Mavic 4 Pro came out. It is the only drone I've ever given a full five star rating too, and that's because of its photography prowess, ease of use, and outstanding stabilization, to name a few things. It's a fantastic drone that everyone should fly at least once.

But at launch, the Mavic 4 Pro wasn't available in the U.S., as DJI cited "local conditions and the [evolving] industry environment" as the reason for skipping the American market.

So while pilots in the U.K., Europe, Australia and other parts of the world were treated to the drone, Americans weren't... until now. That's right: you can now buy the Mavic 4 Pro, not through DJI. You'll have to do business with Amazon.

While I haven't spotted the standard bundle on Amazon, you can grab the Fly More Combo which includes spare batteries and a shoulder bag for $3,999 at Amazon.

Amazon is also selling the Creator Combo (which I tested) for a whopping $5,499, and this includes an RC Pro 2 controller and the drone itself features 512GB of internal storage.

The Mavic 4 Pro is an incredible drone and I can't praise it enough. It's fitted with three cameras, one of which is a 100MP Hasselblad camera which is capable of recording 6K/60fps video, 4K/120fps slow-motion video and 4K/60fps vertical too. It's honestly like a mirrorless camera with wings.

All three can also capture 4K/60fps video, and all footage is ridiculously buttery smooth thanks to the drone's three-axis mechanical gimbal, and you can see some sample footage above.

I also love how easy the Mavic 4 Pro is to fly, even though it's aimed at professionals. Controlling it feels intuitive and an array of safety features — such as return-to-home and omnidirectional obstacle avoidance — give all pilots peace of mind.

The standard Mavic 4 Pro features 64GB of internal storage while the Creator Combo boosts this to 512GB. Battery life is great too as a single charge should last you 51 minutes (depending on the flight and environmental conditions).

On the off chance you buy the Mavic 4 Pro, make sure you register it with the F.A.A. as it weighs 2.34lbs, and all drones over 8.78oz (249g) must be registered. If you want to find out more, make sure to check out my full DJI Mavic 4 Pro review.
