All eyes were on LeBron James as he made his preseason debut with new superstar teammate Anthony Davis and the revamped Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. In a matchup with the Golden State Warriors that opened the doors to the Chase Center for its first taste of NBA action, LeBron would appear before the flashing cameras in coverage of the contest wearing three different pairs of his signature Nike sneakers.
James arrived in San Francisco for the preseason matchup with the Warriors wearing a pair of his newly minted Laker Purple Nike LeBron 17s. He’d later wear his Nike LeBron Ambassador 12s during pregame warmups before playing in the Agimat LeBron 16s.
James would only see action during the first half of the 123-101 Los Angeles victory over Stephen Curry and the Warriors. He’d finish with 15 points, eight assists and three rebounds while starting at the point guard position during 18 minutes of work. Davis led all scorers with 22 points to go along with 10 rebounds and two assists in the same amount of time on the floor as LeBron. A.D. opened the first chapter of his Los Angeles career while paying homage to Lakers legend Kobe Bryant in a pair the UNDFTD x Nike Kobe 4 Protro.
