The 15 European airports where Ryanair says there will be lengthy queues this summer

• Ryanair has warned that holidaymakers should anticipate lengthy queues at 15 popular European airports this summer due to issues with the EU 's new entry-exit system (EES).
• The EES, fully rolled out in April, requires non-EU nationals to submit biometric data, such as facial images and fingerprints, upon entering the Schengen area.
• The airline identified the following airport as prone to significant delays: Lisbon, Tenerife South, Madrid, Lanzarote, Alicante, Malaga, Milan Bergamo, Milan Malpensa, Verona, Paris Beauvais, Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt Hahn, Krakow and Budapest.
• Ryanair advises British passengers to allow extra time for their journeys and prepare for extended waits at passport control.
• The airline is calling for the current flexibility, which suspends biometric data collection, to be extended until early 2027 to allow airports and border authorities to fix infrastructure and increase staffing.
