Average petrol prices hit a new high on Tuesday (March 1), reaching 151.67p per litre, according to the latest data.
The cost of a litre of diesel has also broken a new record, now hitting an average of 155.23p.
Prices could rise further, as oil costs continue to soar due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The Manchester Evening News has come up with a list of 15 places that supply the cheapest petrol and diesel fuel across Manchester and a bit further afield.
Petrol prices can vary depending on supply and demand. These prices were correct at the time of writing (Wednesday, March 3) but could change quickly as gas prices continue to increase.
