The 10 'top rated' restaurants and takeaways in Liverpool city centre

There are a number of top rated restaurants in Liverpool, with several located in the city centre.

Liverpool is well known for its extensive range of bars, cafes and restaurants, with an eclectic range of cultural cuisine and traditional favourites all within easy reach.

There's a number of central spots which have racked up a string of praise from customers, boasting glowing reviews online.

From authentic Asian haunts to venues offering the tastes of New York City, there's something for everyone to try in Liverpool.

Here are 10 restaurants in Liverpool's city centre that have been dubbed "top rated" - according to delivery site Deliveroo.

1. Kokoro

A Japanese chain which sources all its ingredients, then prepares all food on site.

Kokoro offers affordable sushi sets and curries, which has proved to be a winning formula for the popular venue.

2. Nude The Lifestyle Kitchen

This restaurant and takeaway aims to offer healthy foods at reasonable prices.

Its menu includes flat breads, salads, breakfasts, special boxes and more.

3. Dory's

Tucked away on Hardman Street, this popular sandwich shop has been serving the city for more than a decade.

Dory's offers all day breakfasts, with customers able to choose from home comfort classics like jam on extra thick toast, to decadent sandwiches, soups, bagels and more.

Bold Street's much-loved burger joint is no stranger to praise from customers.

The fast food chain specialises in traditional and original burgers. It has its own butchery where it uses 100% British beef to make its burgers.

This Asian chain boasts a 50% plant based menu.

8. YO!

YO! focuses on fresh and flavoursome authentic Japanese street food and sushi.

9. Rudy's

This Neapolitan pizzeria has two spots in Liverpool, one on Castle Street and its newest site on Bold Street, after taking over the old Sainsbury's located at the top of the busy, bustling street.

Rudy's offers a wide selection of of pizza including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Takeaway and delivery is also available, as well as 'bake at home' options where customers can purchase cooking kits.

10. Moose Coffee

Founded in 2006, Moose grew from the love of the great American breakfast culture and admiration of the diners and delis of New York City, aiming to bring a taste of the Big Apple to Liverpool.

It boasts a number of venues in Liverpool, with its large central spot on Hope Street often packed with keen customers.

Moose's menu offers favourites likes eggs benedict and scrambled eggs mixed with pesto, pine nuts and cured ham, as well as homemade cheese pancakes, homemade buttermilk pancakes, french toast and waffles smothered in maple syrup. Its brunch menu has a selection of stacked sandwiches and a homemade specials board.

The independent can also be found in Manchester and Leeds.
