‘That isn’t fake war propaganda’: Marjorie Taylor Greene starts agreeing with reality so things must be really bad

There are a few well-known harbingers of doom. Comets, for instance. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has become the comet for the Republican party in a recent CNN interview, where she agreed that a ceasefire in Gaza is overdue.

“They’re not Hamas. They’re literally women and children… That isn’t fake war propaganda. It’s very real,” she was quoted saying on X by user Brian Allen.

The bar, as they say, resides somewhat lower than the floor.

Election midterms are coming up, so there is reason to believe she is doing it for her own political gain. She could also finally be seeing–hah–how corrupted the wagon is that she’s hitched her horse to. But perhaps, someplace deep down, she actually does care about the innocent civilians that have been routinely killed.

In all honesty, Greene probably just wants to be in office once Trump leaves. MAGA has been steadily ostracizing the left/center Republicans of the party, and they can’t remain that way forever. Despite Trump’s continued promises of a third term, we all know that isn’t going to happen.

As much as this is a “the person you don’t like has said something you agree with” situation, it is at least commendable that she would do the basic decent courtesy of caring about innocent lives. Whether this continues or remains a fluke is yet to be seen.
