Thane: Two teachers booked for beating kids at madarsa

THANE: Dombivli Government Railway Police (GRP) have registered an offence against two teachers of a Kalwa-based Madarsa for beating students. The incident came to light on Friday afternoon when five students aged nine to 12 years fled from the Madaras and boarded a train to Kalyan only to further return to their hometown in Bihar.

Sources in the GRP said that when the students were onboard the train a co-passenger overheard their conversation and informed the GRP control room who contacted their counterpart in Dombivli. Mukesh Dhage, senior inspector, Dombivli GRP said, "The students informed that the two teachers used to beat them." The kids have been sent to Children Care Center in Ulhasnagar.
